Readers' Workshop: Uh-oh...Phew!

This week we have been learning about the Uh-oh... Phew reading comprehension strategy.

This reading strategy helps students identify the problems and the solutions in stories. The students are able to retell the story in the correct sequence by remembering the Uh-oh (problems) and Phew (solutions) moments in the story.
Please share a story you have read at home and identify the uh-oh and phew moments.

  1. I read Pig the FIBBER, the uh-oh was he always fibbed but the phew was he never lied again.

  2. at home i have been doing uh-oh phew
