Naidoc Week

As part of our NAIDOC week celebrations we were lucky enough to have Dion Drummond come to our school for a special performance.
We watched and joined in with many dances. Some of our favourites were the emu and kangaroo dances.

What was your favourite part of the performance?

Science Investigation

This week we have started a new Science Inquiry called All Mixed Up! Today we investigated 3 different mixtures.

Mixture 1: Icing Sugar and Cocoa Powder
Mixture 2: Puffed Rice and Icing Sugar
Mixture 3: Icing Sugar, Cocoa Powder and Puffed Rice

We drew diagrams to show what the mixtures looked like. We also used our senses of smell, sight and touch to explore these mixtures.

What might these mixtures be used for?
Do they remind you of other mixtures?
